Technogeek Covid-19 Servic Changes

(COVID-19) CORONAVIRUS Computer Repairs Changes.

Due to the Coronavirus; Covid-19 crisis, Technogeek Computers will be making some changes to our normal services, to ensure that we can minimize the risk & spread of the virus through the community.
Below are the Changes we will be implementing, and may change on a daily basis:

Because we value our customers, and in the spirit of social responsibility, effective immediately, we as a business have put practices in place to remove face to face contact.

Please be advised our business premises offer a separate waiting room where you can drop off and collect your computers with no requirement for contact.

REPAIR SERVICES

PLEASE NOTE that all pickup and drop offs are now restricted to in the mornings and afternoons with set times organised with a 10 minute window and 5 minutes apart to make sure there is NO face to face contact at all between clients and staff.

If you are late you will need to wait till the next day for a set time as we can have NO contact between anyone and we are required to clean waiting room between clients.

As you can imagine we now have less time a day to do any work on repairs as we need to sanitise everything before we can even start work on it. Computers are requiring to be wiped completely on all parts of the casing as well as removal of all dust inside as fan can suck in all particles in the envoiroment they are kept in (your premises) and this means a lot more time to clean. Laptops require all casing and screen, keyboard and mouse pad as well as power adapter to be wiped down thoroughly. Everything has been handled when packing up to bring to us.

ALL BY PRE BOOKED DAYS AND TIMES.
BETWEEN 9AM AND 10AM ONLY WEEKDAYS
BETWEEN 3PM AND 4PM ONLY WEEKDAYS

NO EXCEPTIONS

Time frames have been required to be extended on all repair services at this time due to volume of work, our requirement to be sanitising and the slower time frames for us getting stock from suppliers as well as now being a single person business to do all services.

All customers are required to call prior to arrival so that arrangements can be put in place for drop off and pickup of any service and paperwork placed in waiting room for signing.

SANITISING REQUIREMENTS

We are now required to charge extra to sanitise all items as this is needing to be done both in and out of our premises and apart from now adding considerable time to all services it is also hard to buy sanitising products that can be used on electronics and are also expensive at this time. Our last order listed as due arriving end of May.

Sanitising requires all dust removal, internal and external wipe down.

Laptops will be Sanitised upon receiving (Wiped down with Anti-Bacterial Cloths) which will include Keyboard & TouchPad Area, TouchScreens, the Inner & Outer Casing of the Laptop & Chargers. WE DO NOT ACCEPT BAGS.
Desktop PC’s – All Surfaces of a Desktop PC will be Sanitised upon receiving including all internal dust, as well as any Peripherals such as External Keyboards, Mouse, Chargers etc.

We will thoroughly Sanitise your Laptop or Desktop PC & equipment before returning it to you.

We are now needing to charge on all these services we handle due to extra time required to sanitise and use of sanitising products.

Note that once we run out of any sanitising product we can no longer offer any workshop services at all.

Remote option is available pending the issue you are having.

NO ONSITE SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED AT THIS TIME

Of course, depending on what is required, we will wherever possible offer our remote services.

We will work very hard to find the “right” solution for each of your I.T needs.

We understand these are challenging circumstances and would like to thank everyone for their understanding & co-operation during this time.

In addition to the above, please note our suppliers who are facing challengers of their own are having a flow on affect to us as a business and as a result we may experience some delays in sourcing parts.
However, we are working closely with these suppliers to limit these delays to a minimum. At this time there seems to be a 7-10 working day delay however that may change at any time.

We offer NO time frames on any services requiring parts.

We will be open during the COVID-19 Crisis – Normal Trading Hours apply however Restricted Customer Hours are in place.

It is important that we all do our bit, to ensure we can get through this crisis quickly and safely.

During this time, the health and safety of our customers and employees is our number one priority.
We will take EVERY measure, to ensure we provide a safe & hygienic environment for everyone.
